Two main functions: first, the clutch cable connects the left handlebar lever to the clutch release mechanism, allowing smooth gear changes and controlled starts; second, the throttle cable operates both the carburetor throttle valve and the oil pump simultaneously, ensuring proper fuel-air mixture and lubrication; third, the brake cable transmits force from the brake lever to the front brake drum, and the speedometer cable drives the speedometer and odometer from the front wheel.
